Last weekend the weather smashed the tipsters!

Well, the tipsters had a tough gig before racing even started last weekend. The weather conditions across the east coast were atrocious. But the even the best tipsters in the country had no idea as to what the track conditions would be like, so no matter how much form mapping they did there was always going to be an element of luck trying to tip to the possible conditions. As it turns out Sydney only managed to get halfway through their meeting. The Sunshine Coast was never really equipped for to handle a dramatic weather event so scratching’s decimated a lot of the racing there.

Ok so looking at the other two meetings. How did the tipsters fair there? Adelaide racing was at the Murray Bridge track last weekend. Race four sore the first top percentage horse takes the win, So say Angel was equal top with 20.9% and paid $2.80 for the win. Race five saw Hasselfree the third highest tipped horse with 22.2% overall but it was the most tipped to win horse at 15.6% of the win tips. Hasselfree paid $3.40 for the win paying. Yuri Royale came in second with the highest overall percentage with 26.7% of the tips, however this horse also had the highest tips to come second with 15.6%. Yuri Royale paid $2.10 for the place. The quinella would have netted you $9.20 and the exacta paid $17.70. The interesting thing about this race is that Pivotal Force the second highest tipped horse with 24.3% was the highest tipped horse to come fourth at 13.3% (closest was 6.7%). In a race where the experts only tipped six horses in the race to place. The first four paid $1189.00. Race Six Legless Lady got the bickies paying $7.50 the win and it was equal second in the percentages with 22.2% of the tips. Race Seven the equal top percentage horse Zoulah 22% got up. Zoulah was the top win percentage horse with 12%. Pimm’s Party was the other top with 22%. Zoulah paid $6.50 for the win and $2.35 for the place. If you placed a quinella or exacta on the top two percentage horses, the quinella paid $8.60 and the exacta paid a very reasonable $23.20. Race Eight once again provided Quinella and Exacta value with Zoffala third highest percentage 16% at $7.50 winning and second highest percentage horse Smiling Assassin 18% coming in second at $3.00 the place. The quinella paid $39.00 and the exacta paid $57.90.  

In Melbourne we saw the top percentage horse winning races two, three, and four and at quite good value. Race Two Thron Bone 24.3% paid $4.20 the win and $1.65 the place. Race Three, My Yankee Girl equal top percentage at 21.5% picked up the win and paid $4.80 win and $1.90 the place. Finally race Four the top percentage horse Quang Tri at 20% of the tips paid $5.50 for the win and $2.15 the place.

It was a tough weekend for the tipsters but given the unpredictability of the weather conditions they still did not a bad job across two of the meetings.
